Happy Holidays Everyone!

I hope all of you had a wonderful Thanksgiving and it was an opportunity to spend time with family and friends.

With the end of year fast approaching, I wanted to take a moment to thank my fellow Board Members for their passionate commitment and tireless efforts around shepherding the ongoing evolution of the club and ensuring that the PTC remains a special place for all members.

I also want to thank the many club members that volunteered for various committees throughout the year - your efforts truly made the outcome of each initiative and event a huge success and truly memorable.

Finally, but certainly not least, a huge thank you to our wonderful PTC Staff.  While your efforts are often in the background, and not always visible to the membership, please know that everything you do is greatly appreciated and that our club would not be the special place it is without you.

As a reminder to our members, our annual Holiday Fund letter was recently sent out.  I hope that all of you will take this as an opportunity to share your individual gratitude to our wonderful PTC staff and participate in this year's Holiday Fund Drive.

Again, best wishes to you and your families for a safe and happy holiday season.

The emergency defibrillator has been relocated from the fitness room to a metal case outside to the left of the ladies locker room.  Please take note of its new location in case of a medical emergency.

Security cameras are operational on both the front and back gates.  Thank you to Duncan Grenier and David Bressie for their efforts in installation and activating the cameras.  Also, a big thank you to Stuart Batchelor for installing new wifi routers, equipment and wiring.  The wifi access is much improved throughout the club.

The new USTA season is rapidly approaching.  We are still in need of captains for the men's and ladies 3.0 teams, and men's 3.5 team.  Please contact me if you are interested in captaining a team this season.

It’s been a busy and productive year for Membership, and we’ve been lucky enough to add several great new families and juniors to the club.  We hope you have had a chance to welcome them and maybe reach out and invite them to play.  Please be sure to introduce yourself to any new faces at the holiday party!

Ho Ho Ho and Happy Frenzy!  As we approach the glorious holiday season may we not forget those who truly make our PTC a great place to be.  I'd like to send out my sincerest gratitude to Lona Means, our PTC Club Manager.  She makes her job seem easy, when it truly is not - a sign of a true professional.  She is respectful listening to our members concerns and brings those concerns to the Board.  She is seen 99% of the time with a smile on her face.  I've witnessed her stop what she's doing on many times to help members who come through her door.  Thank you Lona, our club appreciates the work you do.

In this season of giving, may members remember how special our PTC staff are.  Steve, Tony, Loel are family here.  They are wonderful additions to our club.  They work hard at the day to day maintenance.  If you haven't met them, they are so kind, they'd appreciate your greetings.

Also, I can't forget Pablo Alvarado, our teaching Tennis Pro.  His clinics, single sessions and Jr. Tennis are the best in the Bay Area.  If you haven't checked out a session you are truly missing out.  There are many members who can attest that their tennis has greatly improved since they started their work with him.

Congratulations to our newest Board Members.  I sincerely look forward to working with you all in the new year.  Welcome Jackie Sage, Erica Reilly and Brian Desler.

Wishing everyone a wonderful winter solstice; may USTA teams get their make-up matches from the rain outs before the deadline, may we see new PTC members captaining USTA teams, may we see a PTC USTA team make it to Nationals, and may we all stay healthy and strong.  Peace to you and yours.
